PE is seeking a full time Environmental Records Analyst with at least three years of prior experience performing the scope noted below to work downtown at a client’s project office in Kansas City, Missouri. The responsibilities of the position consist of the management, tracking, review, organizing, and coding (i.e., database entry) and interpretation of a wide array of environmental documents associated with project sites. PE is seeking an individual with strong computer skills that is proficient with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and has familiarity with Microsoft Access. The primary functions of the position include the following:

  • Promptly prepare invoices, as well as associated documentation requested by clients, with a thorough understanding of submittal schedules and payment terms (approximately 150-175 invoices submitted monthly).

  • Monitor and process client payments and prepare bank deposits.

  • Review AR Aging and follow up on overdue items.

  • Promptly respond to client and vendor inquiries.

  • Promptly verify and enter vendor invoices and process electronic and check payments.

  • Review and process employee expense reimbursement requests.

  • Set up and maintain proposals and projects in the accounting system and on the file server.

  • Support Controller and assist with special projects as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.

  • 3+ years of AP/AR experience.

  • Excellent organization skills and detail oriented.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with interruptions and changing priorities.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in computer software programs, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro. Familiarity with Deltek’s Ajera software would be a plus.

PE is seeking a full-time Project Manager to manage with the execution of compliance and permitting projects in the Midwest, primarily in IL, to support our Downers Grove, Illinois office. This position will be involved in a variety of projects that include cultural resource management, environmental planning, and regulatory compliance. This position will assist in compliance efforts for preconstruction planning, construction, and post-construction operations and maintenance in the oil and gas, transmission, and power generation markets.

 

The successful candidate will be assisting a team of environmental professionals in helping clients maintain environmental compliance with Federal, State, County and Local permit conditions and reporting requirements on construction projects. This position will also work closely with contractors, clients, resource monitors, environmental inspection staff, and agency representatives to ensure compliance with permit requirements, and mitigation plans. Minimum Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an environmental-related discipline (Environmental Engineering, Wetland Science, Soil Science, Biology, Geology, Ecology, or other related environmental science) and/or a minimum of 7 years of related experience.

  • Three years of experience as a Project Manager (PM) overseeing the budget, schedule, and technical aspects of environmental projects.

  • Experience in developing and managing National Pollutant Discharge Eliminations System (NPDES) and state equivalent permits, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plans.

  • Experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance during construction and experience in implementing and tracking mitigation measures.

  • Experience performing wetland delineations and function assessments, preferably in the State of Illinois.

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting laws and processes, particularly those specific to Illinois and the Chicago area.

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills. Applicant must be capable of summarizing investigation findings and field methods. Strong communications skills are required as the successful candidate will work with other scientists, engineers, project managers, and clients in the execution of projects.

  • Highly motivated, solution-driven, client-focused attitude, and detail oriented.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

  • Working proficiency in computer software programs, particularly GIS, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Products.

  • Ability to travel (less than 25%).

 

Preferred Position Requirements:

  • Project Management experience on compliance projects

  • Experience in mining, transmission, oil and gas, and/or power generation clients

  • Experience with local, state, and federal permitting programs in any of the following states: IL (preferred), IN, MO, WI, MN, MI, OH

  • State of Illinois certifications

  • Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist

  • Experience in proposal preparation, environmental planning, and wetland mitigation

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies.

  • Experience with CERCLA and RCRA regulations.

  • Valid OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER
