Professional Environmental Engineers, Inc. (PE) is a full-service environmental consulting and engineering firm that specializes in providing cost-effective environmental solutions for both government and commercial clients. PE is growing and is seeking a dynamic, full-time Proposal-Business Development-Marketing Coordinator to work remotely or out of our St Louis HQ office to assist with Capture Planning, Business Development, and Proposal Management, and Marketing activities to a lesser degree. The ideal candidate will meet all of the minimum requirements listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related technical discipline (degrees in other specialties are acceptable if relevance can be demonstrated).
- Ability to handle numerous concurrent proposals with fast-paced deadlines.
- Excellent planning and technical writing, proof reading, and formatting skills. Previous experience with editing technical documents prior to client submission is a plus.
- Strong communications skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent document control preparation and management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Previous CRM experience/capabilities is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally work overtime, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary to meet submission deadlines.
Primary responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Assist with reviewing/screening sales opportunities on various electronic bidding platforms (E-buy, GovWin, Envirobidnet, Beta SAM, and others).
- Update Opportunities Pipeline/schedule in the Accounting/Project Management System (from information supplied).
- Manage the proposal development process from start to finish.
- Review Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, and Request for Quotes and summarize the associated requirements.
- Coordinate the drafting and submission of questions.
- Work with the Team to develop and review proposal strategies and themes and prepare Proposal Management Plans. Coordinate color team reviews of proposal submittals.
- Develop proposal compliance matrix and ensure the fulfillment of requirements through the proposal development effort.
- Update resumes, profiles, references, and related proposal materials (forms, SF330s, sources sought responses, etc.) for sales and marketing activities.
- Manage proposal deadlines, coordinate proposal writing/organizing and reviews, and oversee the submittal of proposals.
- Participate in strategic planning for pursuits and marketing efforts.
- Maintain proposal libraries by consolidating proposals into a central repository, creating/updating proposal templates, and managing past performance citations.
- Perform post-proposal activities by requesting debriefs and tracking/filing debrief information.
- Lead Pre-Qualification Activities (ex. MO, IL, IN Departments of Transportation)
- Assist with tracking BD events, setting up capabilities briefings with agencies, districts, and partners, and keeping forecasts (ex. federal and commercial) current and updated.
- Work with website provider to keep content (specifically project profiles) current and updated.
