(PE) is a full-service environmental engineering and consulting firm that specializes in providing cost-effective environmental solutions for both government and commercial clientele. PE is seeking a dynamic and versatile licensed Engineer or Scientist with 10 – 15 years of experience for our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience managing and executing environmental projects with complex soil, groundwater, and other media, as well as maintain a history of providing on-time, on-budget delivery of services and deliverables. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve business goals for the Chicago Area through exceptional project execution, project management, and client/account management.
- Manage high level, high profile, complex/complicated projects and programs to meet financial targets, including monitoring project schedules and budgets, evaluating project productivity and quality and directing the complete technical operations of the project.
- Plan, evaluate, and optimize the Chicago operations to be efficient and cost-effective.
- Ensure deliverables and services provided by the Chicago staff comply with regulatory and quality standards, as well as ensure company standards and procedures are followed.
- Assist the Business Development staff in identifying and acquiring new clients and capturing new business opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical) or science (earth and planetary sciences, soil science, geophysics, hydrogeology, environmental geology, or chemistry) with an environmental emphasis.
- At least 10-15 years of experience managing Environmental Engineering and Consulting projects.
- Professional licensure in engineering or science
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective intra and interdisciplinary coordination on projects, as well as effective communication with clients and vendors.
- Organized, self-directed, self-motivated, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment, and lead a project team.
- Proficient in computer software programs, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, occasionally.
- Ability to travel (less than 25%).
